LivingStones Christian Centre has recently undergone extensive refurbishment so that it now has modernised community and business facilities that are available for the use of the Christian community in Fleet and surrounding area. A centre manager is responsible for the promotion of these facilities among potential users and for ensuring that facilities are available when a user wishes to make use of them.
The centre manager needs to be supported by volunteers who work with them to ensure the facilities are maintained, kept tidy and kept clean.
Users will take the primary responsibilities for folding away chairs and tables in the community rooms, but volunteers are also necessary to help with or to reconfigure the rooms after an event has been completed. Volunteer key holders may also be required to open up and close the building when used out of hours.
We would like to build a team of centre volunteers who can be called upon, when necessary, to support the centre manager as required.
Centre Volunteers are responsible for:
- Ensuring that the shared areas in the Community rooms are clean and tidy before they are used
- Being a key holder
- Occasional helping in the shop
- Ensuring that Coffee and Tea are available in our drop-in zone
- Showing hospitality to the visitors to the centre/ shop and being willing to pray with/for them
We are looking for people who care passionately about the work of the centre and feel called to serve visitors to the centre.
