Thank you for your interest in the Christmas Angels project.

The angels first appeared in Fleet last year, when the shopping area along Fleet Road and the Key at Elvetham Heath were found to be adorned with hundreds of knitted angels with a label attached inviting the finder to “Please take me, I’m free”.

Over 1,100 angels were taken home and many positive and touching comments were received, including offers of wool if it was going to be done again. In response, the project is running again for 2017 and we are aiming to have 4,000 angels to give away.

You are very welcome to join in, and you can help in the following ways:

By giving wool – you can drop this off at the shop, any type or colour
By making angels – you can download the pattern below to knit or crochet and also the labels to tie on. If you need wool, you can ask at the shop.

Please click below to download patterns and labels:

If you print out the labels from the PDF, you will need to set the printing to landscape. They need to be printed double-sided and, if you use a duplex printer, you will need to set it to print on both sides and flip on the short edge. This is to ensure that the writing on the back lines up with the pictures on the front. The sheets then need to be laminated and have a hole punched to fasten to the angel with a piece of wool. You can also get prepared labels from the shop.
