See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up;
do you not perceive it?
From her early years growing up in Southern Africa Heather Bailey has always been fascinated and distracted with drawing and painting. She studied textiles and art. Worked and travelled all over Africa for many years.
Her journey has lead her to live in Fleet where she has now made herself at home and found a place of belonging.
This collection of works inspired by Isaiah 43 explores the places where ideas, cultures and things collide and a new thing springs up. Fascinating beauty is created in the meeting place of things that should not belong together but when they work together they make the most interesting and unusual art.
With childlike curiosity and own colliding ideas within her she is compelled to paint, inspired by the bold colours and textures of Africa with the vibrancy of a English Spring.
Explore through the centre to find all the pieces that play with colliding ideas and media. Where digital meet the abstract and paint clashes and cracks.
We trust you will be inspired!
