Job Opportunity at LivingStones Christian Centre: LivingStones Co-worker
We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible, people-focussed committed Christian
to work as a part-time paid co-worker in the LivingStones Christian Centre and shop.
In this post you will be working alongside a team of volunteers and sharing the role with your co-worker Sue Luff. You will be responsible for opening and closing the centre and serving centre users and shop customers to ensure the smooth operation of the centre and shop for two days per week and every other Saturday. Hours of work are 10am till 4pm. The days of work are flexible and to be agreed with your co-worker.
You will be expected to provide a warm and helpful welcome to the visitors and users of the centre. (http://www.newlivingstones.org.uk).
LivingStones underwent a major refurbishment in 2018 and subsequently there has been a growing focus on building community, while still providing books and resources that help customers and users grow in their faith. The building includes business offices and community rooms as well as the ground-floor which currently operates solely as a shop. We are looking for ways to encourage more users to come and use the facilities of the centre and to leverage its central position on Fleet Road. This role is essential to the working out of a vision for LivingStones to be a light on the High Street and to build community around the centre. We would expect you to share in this vision and will be looking for enthusiasm and energy to help to deliver it.
The post is a part-time position with flexible working of 2/3 days per week. Typically, you will be expected to work on alternate Saturdays each month.
