All our personal lives continue to be affected by Coronavirus in one way or another, and one of the areas continuing to be hardest hit, because one of their very core purposes is to regularly meet and fellowship together in person, are churches. This has been a year of adapting for many to find fresh ways to reach out into the community and to continue to ‘meet’  – albeit virtually – in the best way possible and practical and within whatever restrictions are in place.

We are thankful for the many unsung heroes – volunteers, church workers and leaders who have worked so hard to continue to bring teaching, worship, small groups, children’s work, youthwork and all the other activities that churches are involved with to people in the community in any practical way possible.

So, this Christmas we are compiling a list of activities and events that are being brought to you by the local churches in Fleet and the surrounding area.

Fri 18th and Sat 19th, 6pm: ‘Hark – A Nativity Story’. Entertaining live theatre production recently recorded and projected in church.

Fri 25th, 10am: Christmas Day service

St John’s Hartley Wintney

Advent Calendar – every day in Advent at 10am. Each day a different person will be sharing a short refelction on a carol, poem or Bible verse.

Sunday mornings in December – 13th and 20th December. Regular morning service in a Covid secure manner in the church at 10am. These services will not be ticketed, but space will be limited due to the Covid restrictions. Should lockdown be extended, arrangements will be made to enable these services to be held fully online. 12 Bells of Christmas at Christ Church, Crookham
A visit to Church for Christmas and an unconventional act of worship for the Holy Season. Come to see the Christmas story, to hear the songs of the faith, and to share in the celebration.

The display will be on:
Monday 14th to Friday 18th from 2pm to 5pm,
Monday 21st to Tuesday 22nd from 2pm to 5pm,
Wednesday 23rd from 2pm to 8pm,
Thursday 24th from 10am to 3pm.

The slots will be every 4 minutes during that period. Each slot is open to a family group, it’s free, but there will be the opportunity to donate to charity at the end.
